To reiterate what the other anon said and your response to Sonic's age staying 15, I thought that in an interview (or two) with Roger Craig Smith that he was told to "speak in an older tone" for Sonic or something along those lines? I believe it was something he mentioned in the interview with SEGASonic Radio about Sonic Colours and Sonic Generations, but I could be wrong.
Perhaps so, but that might not have to do with his age, which still remains 15. It may be that SEGA just didn’t like how young Sonic sounded, so they wanted to bring his voice to a point they thought was right. After all, 15 in Mobian years doesn’t necessarily mean the same level of development as 15 human years, so SEGA might have its own ideas about how old Sonic’s voice should sound in comparison with his age.
