Useless Trivia #13 - Character Origins
Bean the Dynamite from Sonic the Fighters is clearly based off of SEGA’s 1988 game Dynamite Dux, in which two ducks must save a cute girl duck from evil. Flickies, which appear in a number of Sonic games, first appeared in the 1984 game Flicky, in which a bird must save her children from housecats.

~Useless Trivia #12 : Sonic was going to be a much lighter shade of blue, and this intent can be seen in all early concepts of him. However, the shade didn’t show up well against Green Hill Zone’s background, so he was given a darker tone~
Shadow the Hedgehog’s newest English voice actor, Kirk Thornton, also voices Orbot.
Useless Trivia #10
Besides Rouge, who has them naturally, Shadow, Knuckles, and Nack are the only Sonic characters to ever have had fangs in their official artwork. It is believed that Sonic Team did this to symbolize their comparatively violent natures.
Of course, Nack’s fang is his trademark, so the theory may not be entirely true in his case.
In Sonic Adventure 2, during the Dark Story scene where Shadow explains to Dr. Robotnik how the Eclipse Cannon functions, Shadow’s character model freezes after Rouge appears. After her first line, he looks up, and his model remains in this pose in the background during Rouge’s entire spiel until he nods in agreement with her plan.
The Sonic balloon was first introduced to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1993, but didn’t end up flying very long. High winds sent it flying into a lamppost, and the balloon burst, allegedly injuring two people.
If you play as Team Dark in Sonic Heroes, put Omega as leader, then switch to first-person view and look at Rouge, she’ll quickly whip her head toward you, wink, then continue staring until you look away. She is the only character out of all the teams who will actually sense that you are looking at her.
Thus proving once and for all that Shadow is, indeed, the “faker”.

Sonic Shuffle was criticized by reviewers for having such a high AI that it often cheated at card-based minigames, stealing the best cards.
